Six dimensions that matter

Each dimension comes with a question you should ask any vendor

Multi-terminal consistency

Do the store floor (POS machines, handhelds), the owner's phone and the customer's phone share the same product, order and member data? Disconnected data gets messier as chains grow.

Ask: do the POS, merchant and customer apps share one dataset?

Membership & marketing

Are stored value, points, coupons and benefit cards managed in one place? Are marketing campaigns available out of the box? Who owns the member data?

Ask: can member data be exported? Do campaigns cost extra?

Voucher redemption

Can Douyin and Meituan group-buy vouchers be redeemed right at the checkout with automatic statistics? Manual logging is where errors pile up.

Ask: which platforms are supported, and where do redemption records show up?

Reconciliation & flows

Are shift closes, daily closes and payment/refund transactions itemized and queryable? Do channel settlements consolidate automatically?

Ask: can the daily close surface differences? How are they traced?

Compliance abroad

For Austria and other European markets: is RKSV registered cash register compliance (receipt signature chain, DEP export) built in, or a paid customization?

Ask: in Austria, is compliance a standard feature or a custom project?

Chain permissions

Are HQ, store and cashier permissions clearly tiered? Is multi-store performance visible on one screen? How fast can a new store go live?

Ask: how long does a new store take to onboard?

Kuaiding POS vs traditional standalone registers

What matters by scenario

Restaurants

Fast table turns and many held orders: look at checkout speed and order pickup. Voucher redemption and scan-to-pay are must-haves.

Chain retail

Many stores, many SKUs: look at tiered permissions, the inventory-purchasing loop and HQ reports; multi-supplier collaboration determines expansion speed.

Going to Austria

RKSV compliance is a legal requirement: look at signature-chain completeness, DEP export conformance and local printer support; Chinese/English/German languages determine training cost.
